After 7 meaningful years as a High School Boy's Tennis, Girls' Volleyball and Basketball coach, it was time for a change. My father's financial representative, Bob Merchen approached me about taking over his Northwestern Mutual practice. After months of thought and prayer, I decided that I should accept his offer and join the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. This decision has proven to be a wise one. Helping my clients to take care of their unique financial needs and future has been a blessing and a responsibility that I look forward to each day. My business has become an excuse to maintain the relationships I share and cherish with my clients and their families.

This business allows me maintain and invest time into my own family and friends. My wife and I enjoy the beach on Saturdays with friends. I enjoy Golf, Tennis, Basketball and dinners with lifelong friends. We attend the same church my parents and I were raised in.

My wife, Elizabeth and I met on a mission trip to Honduras. Elizabeth Reid DeWitt is originally from Dallas, Texas. Elizabeth holds a BBA from The University of Texas and an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg Business School. She has taken this education and is applying it to stay at home and raise our daughter, Jasmine Isabella born June 2007, and son, Reid McClain born February of 2009.

I was born in Savannah and graduated from Memorial Day School in 1986. After 13 years at the same prep school, I bounced around a little. Enjoyed 1 year at Georgia Southern, played a season of basketball for South College, 1 season of tennis at Armstrong Atlantic before transferring to the University of Georgia. While at Georgia I was fortunate to play basketball for Coach Hugh Durham and win a Southeastern Conference Championship in 1990. (Defeating Shaquille O'Neil and LSU to do so)

My background, my wife and Dallas Richey give me the framework and tools I need to keep my clients goals first. I'm not anxious about the sales side of my job. In contrast, you will learn that I am genuinely concerned on behalf of the families and businesses I serve.
